As a Host at Hawksmoor, you’ll be right at the heart of the guest experience. This is not a desk-based role. You’ll be welcoming guests, managing reservations and waiting lists, coordinating seating and cloakroom, and supporting the floor team to keep service running smoothly. You’ll be a key part of how we deliver warm, generous hospitality from the very first hello.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests warmly and confidently on arrival
- Manage reservations, walk-ins and waiting lists during service
- Seat guests and manage the flow of the restaurant to support smooth service
- Oversee cloakroom and guest arrivals during busy periods
- Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen
- Support the floor team by helping set and reset tables and assist service when needed
- Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone and email with care and professionalism
Who You Are
- Naturally friendly, confident and great with people
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy restaurant environment
- Organised, calm and able to think on your feet
- A reliable team player who enjoys being part of a close-knit team
- Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience is helpful but not essential, full training provided
