Technology plays a vital role in keeping our restaurants running smoothly, securely and efficiently . As Hawksmoor continues to grow, we’re looking for an
IT Manager to lead our IT infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity and technology development across the business.
This is a hands-on, standalone role, working closely with Finance, Operations, restaurant teams, external partners and the CFO.
You’ll be responsible for making sure our systems are reliable, secure, cost-effective and ready to support both day-to-day operations and future growth.
The role is UK-based, with time spent between Hawksmoor House, restaurants and some home working.
You should expect to be on site around three days per week on average, with some weeks requiring more depending on business needs.
- What You’ll Do
- Lead IT infrastructure, systems and networking across UK and international locations
- Own key platforms including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure and device management
- Oversee EPOS, payment systems, handheld devices and guest ordering technology
- Manage cybersecurity, PCI DSS compliance, risk and data protection requirements
- Lead IT planning for new restaurant openings and international growth
- Manage vendors, contracts, budgets and outsourced support partners
- Drive technology projects that improve resilience, efficiency and cost control
- Explore AI and emerging technology opportunities that support guest experience and team productivity
- Act as the escalation point for critical IT issues and ensure systems are restored quickly
Who You Are
- Experienced in IT infrastructure and systems management across a multi-site business
- Confident managing vendors, contracts, budgets and technology partners
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure and hybrid cloud environments
- Experienced with EPOS, payment technology and operational systems
- Comfortable owning cybersecurity, PCI DSS and risk management processes
- A clear communicator who can work well with restaurants, support teams and external partners
- Organised, practical and able to balance security, cost, guest experience and operational needs
- Curious about AI and emerging technology, with the confidence to turn ideas into useful solutions
