Hawkley Hall High School is a high-performing, oversubscribed secondary school in Wigan and a part of The Rowan Learning Trust. Responsibilities
- Carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as set out in the current School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD).
- Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/Form Tutor.
- Facilitate and encourage a learning experience, which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
- Share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
- Support the aims and objectives of the school.
What We're Looking For:
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status
- The ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Food Technology
- Excellent subject knowledge of Food and Nutrition
- An enthusiasm and passion for teaching Food Technology
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A high degree of organisational ability
- The ability to develop effective working relationships with students
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An ability to promote teaching and learning at all levels
- Excellent standards in hygiene, health and safety
- Experience of using ICT in their subject
- A willingness to learn and share good practice
- A willingness to take part in extra-curricular activities
- A commitment to the aims of the School
Desirable
- Knowledge or experience of delivering other Design Technology subjects
