Location: Hawkley Hall High School, Carr Lane, Wigan, WN3 5NY
Working Pattern: Part-time, Tuesday to Friday (29.5 hours per week), term time plus one week
Grade: Grade 5, SCP 8-14
Salary: £25,992 – £28,624 pro rata, actual salary £17,746 – £19,338
Start Date: September 2025
End Date: Maternity cover until April 2026

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our time as an Exams, Curriculum and Timetable Officer to cover maternity leave. This is a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of our school\’s curriculum, student data systems and exam processes.
You will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and external bodies to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of timetabling, student enrolment, data reporting and exam administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience, ideally within an educational setting, who thrives in a fast-paced and detail oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain student timetables, class allocations, and curriculum data using Arbor.
  • Coordinate internal and external examinations in line with JCQ regulations.
  • Lead the setup of the academic year, including term dates, form groups, and room allocations.
  • Support student transitions, enrolments, and leavers.
  • Generate reports and analyse data for attendance, attainment, and behaviour.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of exam invigilators.
  • Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and compliance.
