We are seeking a dedicated Self Employed Dog Groomer to rent a table in our gorgeous salon and provide professional grooming services to clients' pets. This role offers flexibility and independence, allowing you to operate your own grooming business while delivering high-quality care and grooming tailored to each dog's needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent customer service skills, and experience in dog grooming or veterinary care.

Duties

  • Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, clipping, and styling of dogs according to client preferences and breed standards.
  • Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing care or treatment if necessary.
  • Handle dogs safely and humanely during grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic grooming environment, including sanitising tools and equipment after each use.
  • Manage appointments efficiently, providing excellent customer service and clear communication with pet owners.
  • Offer advice on pet grooming routines and general animal care to clients.
  • Keep detailed records of each dog's grooming history and special requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dog grooming and established client base is highly desirable.
  • Strong animal care skills with a compassionate approach towards pets and their owners.
  • Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and handle enquiries professionally.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large or heavy dogs safely.
  • Self-motivated with organisational skills to manage your own schedule effectively.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in pet grooming or animal care are advantageous but not essential.
  • Must be self-employed, organised, reliable, and committed to providing outstanding service.
