We’re seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our clients Service Team at their showroom in Tonbridge, helping them deliver an exceptional experience to every customer.
As a key member of the team, you’ll be the main point of contact for their service customers — ensuring the customers’ needs are handled efficiently, professionally, and with attention to detail. This position combines strong people skills with a good understanding of vehicle maintenance, enabling you to explain repair work and service requirements to customers.
Service Advisor responsibilities will be as follows:
- Take bookings for service work via website contact, telephone or face-to-face at Service Reception, obtaining all information required and communicating this effectively to the workshop
- Schedule service work to fulfil customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation
- To ensure the effective use of courtesy vehicles to maximise customer service
- Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer’s vehicle performance or longevity
- Handle payments accurately and efficiently, maintaining a balanced account drawer
- To inform customers in instances where additional work is required or problems arise and gain their authority to proceed
- To ensure the full completion of service documentation and maintain accurate customer data
Skills required for Service Advisor:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients
- Proficient in cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions
- Basic mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate technical information to customers
- Experience in upselling services or products is highly desirable
