Hawkfield Recruitment is working with a well-established dealer group in Oxford, Kidlington who are looking to recruit a customer-focused Service Advisor to join their friendly and supportive aftersales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong customer service background who is looking to build a long-term career within the automotive industry. The Role:
As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the main point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for servicing, maintenance, and repairs. You’ll work closely with the workshop team to ensure customers receive a professional and seamless experience from start to finish. No mechanical knowledge needed!
Responsibilities of Service Advisor:
- Welcoming customers into the dealership and discussing their servicing or repair requirements.
- Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing the daily service diary.
- Liaising with technicians to provide customers with updates on the progress of their vehicle.
- Explaining any additional work required in a clear and professional manner.
- Keeping customers informed throughout the day and ensuring expectations are managed.
- Delivering an excellent level of customer service at every stage of the journey.
- Building positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Supporting the wider aftersales team with the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
- Recommending relevant service plans, maintenance packages, or additional products where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For in a Service Advisor:
- Previous experience in a dealership or in a customer-facing role such as hospitality, retail, leisure, or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- A willingness to learn and develop within the motor trade.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
