Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the on-site lead, working closely with the Works Manager to provide daily progress updates and flag any issues
  • Supervise site teams to ensure high standards of painting and decorating workmanship
  • Ensure all work is carried out on time, on budget, and in line with project specifications
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Contracts Manager, compiling weekly progress reports
  • Distribute and oversee the correct use of equipment, PPE, and materials on-site
  • Implement and monitor Health & Safety standards, including delivery of weekly Tool Box Talks and ensuring all operatives follow risk assessments and method statements
  • Oversee timesheets, job-related paperwork, and site documentation
  • Uphold the company’s commitment to customer service, quality, and professionalism
Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience as a Painting Supervisor or similar role in the decorating or construction sector
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification is essential
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to complete timesheets and site documentation accurately
  • Strong leadership, team management, and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety and safe site practices
  • Comfortable using basic IT systems for reporting and communication
  • Professional demeanour and a customer-focused approach
