About the Role

You’ll take the lead in coordinating resources, scheduling jobs, and ensuring quick responses to maintenance needs across our housing contracts. Your SORS system expertise (Version 7 & 8 NAT FED codes) will be crucial to keeping our reactive works team running smoothly. You will be working closely with the project managers and Quantity Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and dispatch reactive maintenance tasks
  • Use SORS to manage and track job progress from start to finish
  • Prioritise emergency works and allocate jobs based on urgency and geography
  • Coordinate field operatives and subcontractors
  • Ensure jobs meet SLAs and client expectations
  • Maintain accurate digital records and documentation
  • Assist with job coding, procurement, budgeting, and cost planning (ranging £300–£30,000)
  • Support with valuations, authorising subcontractor payments, and financial reporting
  • Liaise closely with clients, engineers, and internal departments

What You’ll Need

  • 3+ years' experience using SORS in a reactive maintenance environment
  • Strong knowledge of SORS NAT FED codes (v7 & v8) within social housing
  • Excellent organisational skills and multitasking under pressure
  • Clear communication skills – verbal and written
  • Confident IT user (Excel, Word, CAFM tools)
  • Proactive mindset and problem-solving attitude
