As part of this expansion, they are seeking an experienced Estimator and Quantity Surveyor to join their team β or an individual with the ability to cover both functions in a combined commercial role.

Key Responsibilities
Estimator Duties:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for flooring tenders and projects.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents to produce competitive quotations.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Assist in value engineering and cost analysis.
- Support pre-contract handovers to ensure a smooth transition to delivery teams.
Quantity Surveyor Duties:
- Manage the commercial delivery of flooring projects from start to completion.
- Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Oversee subcontractor accounts, procurement, and payments.
- Maintain accurate cost tracking and forecasting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure commercial compliance and profitability across all projects.
About You
- Proven experience in flooring, interiors, fit-out, or specialist subcontracting.
- Solid commercial understanding of estimating and/or QS functions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication and negotiation skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Confident IT user (Excel, estimating software, etc.).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to sites or clients.
Bonus Points
A strong network within main contractors or commercial clients, with the potential to bring opportunities or contacts to the table, will be highly valued.
