We are seeking a Compliance Manager for a large IT organisation who is experiencing considerable growth and are leaders in their industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing externally appointed auditors and maintaining a variety of ISO standards.
  • Ensuring adherence to and continued certification of the following standards:
    • ISO 9001 Quality Management System
    • ISO 27001 Information Security Management System
    • PCI-DSS Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard
    • ISO 22301 Business Continuity
    • GDPR and Data Protection Laws
  • Conducting regular internal audits in line with the requirements of the standards.
  • Implementing compliance initiatives, identifying and assessing corporate risk, investigating customer and corporate incidents, monitoring continuous improvement, recommending effective controls and processes, and integrating specific compliance objectives within business units.
  • Influencing senior management in identifying compliance risks and providing appropriate commercial solutions.
  • Monitoring industry, regulatory and corporate developments to identify areas of vulnerability and risk.
  • Developing and implementing corrective/preventative action plans for the resolution of compliance issues and providing guidance and coaching on how to avoid future incidents.
  • Communicating the compliance programme to all employees.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to executives, managers and other interested parties reporting on the status of compliance initiatives.
  • Meeting with the business to build relationships and enhance their capability to manage risk.
  • Creating a defined process that allows for the evaluation, approval and adoption of all new compliance and certification activities to ensure clear ownership, documented processes, and proper controls.
  • Assisting the Board in defining a Business Continuity Plan appropriate to the business.
  • Identifying, recording, maintaining and reporting on business risks associated with standards.
  • Maintaining applicable registers in support of non-conformance, risk, legal compliance, etc.
  • Establishing and maintaining a timetable for annual testing of the Business Continuity Strategy.
  • Developing induction materials and implementing training programs for staff in respect of Information Security and Business Continuity.
