A rare opportunity to lead a portfolio of established British heritage businesses within the luxury soft furnishings and interior textiles sector. The group designs and manufactures premium decorative fabrics for leading interior designers, architects, specifiers, and luxury hospitality clients globally. We are seeking a commercially driven, operationally strong Managing Director to take full P&L responsibility and lead the division through its next phase of growth. This is a role for a leader who can balance heritage craftsmanship with modern commercial discipline, driving performance without compromising quality or brand integrity.

The Role

  • You will lead commercial strategy, operational performance, and long-term growth across multiple brands within the division.
  • Working closely with Group leadership, you will drive revenue, strengthen customer relationships, improve operational efficiency, and identify new market opportunities across UK and international markets.
  • You will operate confidently across commercial, manufacturing, and senior client-facing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial strategy and deliver revenue and margin growth.
  • Build and develop key relationships with designers, specifiers, distributors, and agents.
  • Drive business development across residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors markets.
  • Oversee production, planning, and operational performance across the division.
  • Improve efficiency, workflow, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure consistent product quality and service excellence.
  • Lead, develop, and structure high-performing teams across sales and operations.
  • Partner with Group leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

About You

  • Strong senior leadership experience in textiles, interiors, luxury goods, or manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of commercial growth and P&L responsibility.
  • Experience managing complex customer and distribution networks.
  • Strong operational understanding of production or supply chain environments.
  • Confident, commercially astute, and hands-on leadership style.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
