Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Moulding Maintenance Engineer who is looking for a stable day‑shift role within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment for a company based in Rushden, Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well‑established operation where you’ll play a key role in maintaining machinery, improving performance, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
As a Moulding Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. You’ll diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and support ongoing TPM and engineering improvement projects. You’ll also work closely with the wider engineering team to maintain site services and ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Hydraulic fault finding and repair
- Assist with planning service schedules and preparing spare parts
- Service, repair and maintain moulding machinery and ancillary equipment
- Improve machine efficiency and OEE
- Install, fit and commission new machinery and equipment
- Support site services including fire detection, sprinkler systems, compressors and chillers
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company policies
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong technical ability, a proactive approach, and a positive attitude.
Essential Skills & Experience
- HNC/HND in Engineering
- Experience in blow moulding or injection moulding
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to read and work from electrical engineering drawings
- Electrical installation experience (18th Edition advantageous)
- Working knowledge of PLCs and HMI systems
- Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, enthusiastic and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
