Press Brake Setter / Operator

Pay: £14 - £16 per hour (dependent on experience)
Are you an experience Press Brake Setter / Operator looking to join a well established business? We are recruiting on behalf of a successful manufacturer seeing a skilled individual to join their fabrication team on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC press brake machinery to manufacture precision sheet metal components. Working from engineering drawings, you'll ensure parts are produced to accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each production run
- Carry out first off inspections and in-process quality checks
- Use measuring equipment including verniers, rulers and angle gauges to inspect finished parts
- Make machine adjustments where required to maintain accuracy and quality
- Work to production schedules while achieving productivity targets
- Report any quality concern, tooling issues or machine faults
About you:
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brake machines
- A strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings
- Confidence producing components to tight tolerances
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar press brake machinery, counterbalance forklift licence, overhead crane or lifting equipment experience or a background in fabrication or precision engineering would be highly advantageous
