Hours: 39 hours per week, rotating morning & afternoon shifts
Pay: £38,532 per annum / £19 per hour

Key responsibilities:
- Program, set and operate CNC milling machines
- Create, edit and optimize CNC programmes to improve machining efficiency
- Manufacture one off and batch components from engineering drawings
- Select the correct tooling, fixtures and workholding for each job
- Carry out tool changes and make machine offsets where required
- Inspect finished components ysing a range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and height gauges
- Complete first off inspections and ensure components meet quality standards
- Identify process improvements to reduce cycle times and increase productivity
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment
About you:
- Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focus approach
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
Experience with CAD/CAM software and machine controls such as Haas, Hurco, Mazak, Fanuc or Matsuura would be highly advantegous, as would an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
