An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to join a growing and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Oldbury. Operating at the cutting edge of manual and robotic wet paint applications, the company supports a diverse client base across automotive, defence, medical, and consumer goods sectors.

Due to continued growth and internal restructuring, the business is strengthening its engineering function and is looking for a driven leader to take ownership of maintenance operations across two sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Own and develop the Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule
  • Deliver and oversee engineering projects from concept through to completion
  • Provide regular reports on monthly engineering performance and objectives
  • Drive improvements in equipment performance and overall site efficiency
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are consistently met and maintained
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders across the business

Engineering Expertise

  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience in fault finding on pumps, motors, and related systems
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and fluid logic systems
  • Background in automotive or paint processes (highly desirable)
  • Experience with ABB robotics (advantageous but not essential)

Leadership & Management

  • Proven ability to manage projects and drive improvements
  • Experience managing or using Excel-based PM systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Calm under pressure with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Flexible approach: Supporting across two sites when required
  • Occasional overtime and call-outs
  • Providing holiday/shift cover when needed
