Job Title: HSQE Advisor - Solihull
Salary: Β£40,194 - basic and car allowance

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (up to 12 months)
Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Role Purpose
To support the company's Head of HSQE and Contract Managers and provide leadership for HSQE. To develop and implement HSQE best practice and promote compliance with company values and HSQE policies, ensuring compliance with current HSQE legislation as well as with the customers' H&S policies and procedures. Build effective relationship within all stakeholders across the business and with customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Always Promote Health and Safety to both internal and external customers.
- Seek out opportunities for improvement whilst maintaining service levels.
- Develop HSQE measures with a view to exceeding customers expectation.
- Meet business requirements whilst ensuring customers demands are fulfilled.
- Drive and achieve key internal and customer safety and training KPI's.
- Understand HSQE program, including accident and near miss reporting and safety audits. Carry out behavioural safety audits, attend site safety meetings.
- Ensure timely HSQE updates are using appropriate tracking and data systems.
- Set up audit schedules
- Monitor audit activities - reporting on and creating action plans
- Conduct frequent internal audits.
- Create audit reports and action plans and follow up on all action plans.
- Assist the business with the provision of in-house training for the following areas: Toolbox talks, Manual handling training, Risk assessment training, Any other safety training as required/identified
- Supporting investigations, tracking & resolution of non-compliance.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- A HSQE background is essential. A general awareness of industrial process and principles will be an advantage as will the ability to work with minimum supervision.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or above
- Working knowledge of country HSE Legislation
- Previous supervisory knowledge.
- Health and Safety process and guidelines (Safety systems support)
- 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management systems
- Quality systems - (ISO-9001)
- Environmental systems (ISO 14001)
Desirable:
- Formal internal auditor qualifications
- 'Train the trainer'.
