Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer with extensive experience working within a food manufacturing environment? Do you have strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration and freezer systems? We are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing food production business to support a modern manufacturing facility.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively
- Maintain and troubleshoot refrigeration and freezing systems including blast freezer, tunnel freezer, spiral freezers, cold room and freeze room
- Support compressors, chillers, evaporators, condensers and associated control systems
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Respond to breakdowns and minimize production downtime
- Work closely with Production and Operations teams to improve efficiency and reliability
- Ensure all work complies with food safety, quality and health & safety standards
About you
- Minimum 5 years maintenance engineer experience
- Food manufacturing or food processing experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills
- Experience with industrial refrigeration and freezing systems
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Strong problem solving and hands on approach
