Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer with extensive experience working within a food manufacturing environment? Do you have strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration and freezer systems? We are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing food production business to support a modern manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively
  • Maintain and troubleshoot refrigeration and freezing systems including blast freezer, tunnel freezer, spiral freezers, cold room and freeze room
  • Support compressors, chillers, evaporators, condensers and associated control systems
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Respond to breakdowns and minimize production downtime
  • Work closely with Production and Operations teams to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Ensure all work complies with food safety, quality and health & safety standards

About you

  • Minimum 5 years maintenance engineer experience
  • Food manufacturing or food processing experience
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills
  • Experience with industrial refrigeration and freezing systems
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong problem solving and hands on approach
