Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a hands-on, reliable General Maintenance Operative to join our clients growing facilities team supporting a range of commercial sites across the UK. This is a varied and practical role where no two days are the same, covering everything from planned upkeep to reactive repairs across self-storage facilities, office spaces, and retail locations.
The role:
- General building maintenance and repairs (including roofing and cladding)
- Plumbing repairs and basic installations
- Joinery and carpentry work
- Painting and decorating tasks
- Tiling and flooring repairs, including carpets
- External works such as paving and drainage maintenance
- Grounds upkeep and general site clearance
- Pressure washing external areas
- Furniture assembly, relocation and removal
- Supporting both planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
About you:
- At least 3 years' experience in building maintenance or a similar multi-skilled trade role
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience with roofing and cladding (desirable)
- CSCS card (advantageous but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Competent using IT systems to log work completed and associated costs
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessment awareness
