What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and vehicle health checks across ICE, Hybrid, and fully Electric models.
- Learning high-voltage safety protocols, battery health checks, and EV system maintenance under official manufacturer guidelines.
- Supporting Senior Vehicle Technicians with core mechanical repairs (brakes, suspension setups, timing belts/chains, and clutches).
- Utilizing modern diagnostic tools to locate, trace, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Maintaining accurate job cards and collaborating smoothly with service advisors and workshop controllers.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent).
- Experience: Hands‑on experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a dealership, fast-fit center, or independent garage.
- EV Aptitude: Strong interest in EV/Hybrid systems (Level 2/3 IMI EV qualifications are a plus, but full training is provided!).
- Mindset: Logical diagnostic approach, team attitude, and pride in clean, safe workmanship.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
