Taking on a wide variety of work across all makes and models—from daily maintenance and brake overhauls to suspension work and clutch replacements—this garage offers a supportive, steady atmosphere where right-first-time craftsmanship comes first.

  • Salary Range: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + team performance incentive
  • Working Schedule: Monday to Friday schedule + Saturdays operated on a fair team rota basis

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Perform core mechanical repairs, including timing belt/chain renewals, clutch replacements, suspension overhauls, and brake rebuilds
  • Utilize multi-brand scan tools to read fault codes, reset service indicators, and isolate mechanical issues
  • Complete scheduled servicing, safety evaluations, pre-MOT health checks, and minor electrical repairs
  • Write detailed technical notes on digital job sheets and keep service desk staff updated on repair timelines
  • Keep workshop bays clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety guidelines

What We Need From You

  • Experience: Time-served mechanic with solid practical experience across a diverse mix of vehicle makes and models
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served garage background)
  • MOT Status: Active MOT Tester licence is preferred (with higher starting pay potential), but is not essential to apply
  • Mindset: Dependable, detail-oriented technician focused on clean workmanship and honest customer care
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
