Key Responsibilities
- Carry out manufacturer-level vehicle servicing, routine maintenance, and detailed Vehicle Health Checks (VHC) across Volkswagen Group models.
- Perform complex mechanical overhauls, including timing belts/chains, clutch replacements, gearbox repairs, engine builds, and suspension work.
- Utilize ODIS diagnostic software and advanced electrical troubleshooting suites to pin-point complex faults accurately.
- Complete pre-MOT safety checks and vehicle preparation to rigorous specialist standards.
- Maintain clean digital job records and uphold a "right-first-time" quality control culture.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent).
- Technical Experience: Proven background as a Vehicle Technician, Auto Mechanic, or VAG Specialist within a main dealership or quality independent garage.
- Technical Capability: Strong diagnostic fault-finding confidence, complete tool mastery, and high attention to detail.
- Mindset: Quality-focused professional who takes genuine pride in clean, accurate craftsmanship.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Required).
