Busy main dealer group in Corby is looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join its professional workshop team. The business has been operating since the late 1980s and has built a strong reputation locally for providing high-quality vehicles and excellent customer service. The dealership supplies a wide range of new and approved used vehicles, offering customers a variety of models including hatchbacks, SUVs, and family vehicles to suit different driving needs. Alongside vehicle sales, the business also operates a busy aftersales department providing servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and MOT preparation, supported by manufacturer-trained technicians and modern workshop equipment. The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will play an important role maintaining and repairing vehicles to a high standard while supporting the workshop team in delivering excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Conduct vehicle health checks and safety inspections
- Work on systems including engines, brakes, suspension, clutches, and electrical components
- Complete repairs in line with manufacturer standards
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure road safety compliance
- Maintain accurate job records and reports
- Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organised
