About the Role
We are seeking a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our busy workshop. The successful candidate will carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs, and MOTs to the high standards our customers expect. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys technical challenges, working with a range of vehicles, and contributing to a professional, customer-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance
- Conduct MOTs (Class 4) in compliance with DVSA regulations
- Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic tools and technical expertise
- Maintain accurate service records and job cards
- Work efficiently under minimal supervision while meeting workshop targets
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding vehicle faults and repairs
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
About You
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- MOT qualified
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy workshop environment preferred
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills across a range of vehicles
- Reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented
- Excellent team player with professional communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Enthusiastic about technical development and career progression
