We're recruiting an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join an established independent specialist workshop in Swanley, Kent.

You'll work on a range of performance, sports, prestige and enthusiast vehicles, using modern OEM and specialist diagnostic equipment in a clean, professional and well-equipped workshop.

This is a role focused on quality workmanship, accurate diagnostics and doing the job properly.

Up to £45,000 basic salary + monthly bonus with £50,000 realistic OTE.

The Role

You'll work across a varied range of specialist vehicles, carrying out:

  • Advanced diagnostics and fault finding
  • Mechanical, electrical and electronic fault diagnosis
  • Servicing and routine maintenance
  • Mechanical repairs and component replacement
  • Complex fault investigation and root-cause diagnosis
  • Vehicle health checks and inspections
  • OEM and specialist diagnostic testing
  • Road testing where required
  • Manufacturer-standard repairs
  • Final quality checks before vehicle handover
  • Accurate job cards and repair records

You'll also have the opportunity to share technical knowledge and develop your skills as part of an experienced team.

About You

We're looking for a technician with strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability who takes genuine pride in their work.

You'll ideally have:

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Automotive Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Car Mechanic or Workshop Technician
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Good electrical and electronic understanding
  • Experience with modern vehicle diagnostic systems
  • A methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • Good attention to detail
  • A professional attitude
  • Full UK driving licence

Performance Vehicle Experience?

It's a bonus, but not essential.
