The Role – Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a range of specialist performance and sports vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
  • Performing advanced fault diagnosis using OEM and specialist diagnostic equipment
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
  • Investigating complex vehicle issues and providing accurate repairs
  • Completing vehicle health checks and inspection reports
  • Carrying out road tests and final quality checks
  • Following manufacturer repair procedures and technical standards
  • Maintaining accurate job records
  • Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised
  • Supporting colleagues with technical knowledge when required

About You

We are looking for an experienced technician with:

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Experience as a Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Automotive Technician, Car Mechanic or Vehicle Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical repair knowledge
  • Experience using modern diagnostic systems
  • Good understanding of vehicle electronics and technology
  • High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience working with performance cars, prestige vehicles or specialist vehicles would be advantageous.
