Your Role

As a core member of our Stroud team, you will handle a true variety of technical workshop responsibilities:

  • Diagnostics & Rectification: Use modern diagnostic software, technical manuals, and schematics to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex automotive faults accurately.
  • Servicing & Repairs: Carry out routine vehicle servicing and mechanical maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Specialist Technical Work: Conduct vehicle diagnostics, including advanced ADAS alignment and geometry calibration.
  • Fleet & Pre‑MOT: Manage repairs on specialist vehicles, including emergency service assets, and complete pre‑MOT repairs to strict VOSA standards.
  • Workshop Standards: Perform welding or equipment maintenance when required, safely handle heavy components, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

What You Need

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional workshop experience as a confident Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential (a C1 licence is desirable but not required).
  • Tech Skills: Confident using hand/power tools, reading technical schematics, and operating modern diagnostic systems. F‑Gas accreditation is a plus.
  • Traits: Strong attention to detail, reliability, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work well within a close‑knit team.
