Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Stonehouse workshop, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing, multi-point safety inspections, braking overhauls, and general mechanical repairs.
- Complete thorough preventative maintenance & prep work to ensure all retail vehicles meet our strict standards before handover.
- Use modern diagnostic tools and software to systematically troubleshoot and resolve complex technical, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Maintain high-quality "first-time fix" standards across a highly diverse mix of vehicle makes and models.
- Collaborate closely with a skilled technical team to maintain a safe, smooth, and friendly workshop flow.
What You Need
- Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / equivalent). Time-served technicians with a proven track record are strongly encouraged to apply regardless of formal certifications. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
- Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
- Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair and diagnostic tasks effectively. Reliable, self-motivated professional with great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a positive team-player attitude.
