Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Stonehouse workshop, you will:

  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing, multi-point safety inspections, braking overhauls, and general mechanical repairs.
  • Complete thorough, bumper-to-bumper preventative maintenance and preparation to ensure all retail vehicles meet our strict standards before handover.
  • Use modern diagnostic tools and software to systematically troubleshoot and resolve complex technical, electrical, and mechanical faults.
  • Maintain clean, methodical, and high-quality "first-time fix" standards across a highly diverse mix of vehicle makes and models.
  • Collaborate closely with a skilled team of motor mechanics to maintain a safe, smooth, and friendly workshop flow.

What You Need

Qualifications & Experience: Proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Technician in a professional garage setting with strong general repair and diagnostic knowledge. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).

Licensing: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not essential.

Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair and diagnostic tasks effectively.

Key Strengths: A reliable, self-motivated professional with great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a positive team-player attitude.
