Delivering a full suite of services ranging from DVSA Class 4 testing to routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs, this garage offers a steady, well-managed environment without corporate dealership pressure.

  • Salary Range: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + productivity efficiency scheme

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct official Class 4 MOT tests in full compliance with current DVSA standards and regulations
  • Execute general mechanical repairs, including brake overhauls, suspension replacement, clutch kits, and timing belts
  • Perform routine servicing, multi-point safety inspections, and pre-MOT health checks across all vehicle makes
  • Use multi-brand scan tools to clear fault codes, reset service indicators, and isolate mechanical issues
  • Complete digital job cards accurately and coordinate with front-desk staff on repair updates

What We Need From You

  • MOT Qualification: Active DVSA Smart Card / Valid MOT Tester Licence (Mandatory)
  • Technical Background: Time-served mechanic confident in general mechanical repairs and routine servicing
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served garage background)
  • Mindset: Quality-focused professional committed to accurate testing and clean workmanship
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
