Key Responsibilities
- Execute deep-level electrical and mechanical diagnostics across multi-brand vehicle electronics, CAN-bus networks, and emissions setups.
- Perform major mechanical repairs, including timing chain/belt replacements, gearbox overhauls, clutch builds, and head gasket repairs.
- Conduct routine manufacturer-level servicing, Vehicle Health Checks (VHC), and pre-MOT safety assessments.
- Record precise technical findings on digital job cards and communicate repair paths clearly with service advisors.
- Maintain pristine working bays, adhere to tool care protocols, and uphold safety standards.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served background).
- Technical Experience: Strong hands-on experience as an Auto Technician, Diagnostic Specialist, or Mechanic with high confidence in complex fault isolation and heavy repairs.
- MOT Licence: Active DVSA MOT Smart Card is a major bonus (higher basic salary available), but not mandatory to apply.
- Mindset: Methodical problem-solver committed to 'right-first-time' fixes and high craftsmanship.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Required).
