Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our modern Reading facility, you will:
- Handle a diverse mix of vehicle diagnostics, routine vehicle servicing, and complex mechanical repairs.
- Use diagnostic scanners and factory software to systematically track down and fix tricky electrical and mechanical faults.
- Work to clear, structured manufacturer guidelines, ensuring every job is completed safely and efficiently.
- Keep digital job cards updated and collaborate closely with a supportive team of master technicians.
What You Need
- Qualifications: A recognized automotive qualification (NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent). F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
- Experience: Solid background in an auto repair shop, fast-fit centre, independent garage, or MOT centre.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not essential.
- Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools to carry out daily repair and servicing tasks effectively.
- Key Strengths: A strong team-player attitude, a sharp eye for detail, and the motivation to learn modern vehicle systems.
