The Rewards

Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our busy Reading workshop, you will:

  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing, scheduled maintenance, and digital service book updates to strict standards.
  • Complete high-quality mechanical repairs, including braking systems, steering, advanced suspension work, and engine maintenance.
  • Utilize specialized brand diagnostic systems to efficiently investigate, troubleshoot, and rectify complex electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Deliver high-quality "first-time fix" results while operating productively alongside a close-knit technical team.

What You Need

  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent time-served experience). F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
  • Experience: Proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic (hands-on experience with premium German brands like BMW, Mercedes, Audi, or VW is highly desirable).
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not essential.
  • Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools to carry out daily repair and servicing tasks effectively.
  • Key Strengths: Dedicated work ethic, strong diagnostic problem-solving skills, and great attention to detail.
