  • Salary Range: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + uncapped productivity bonus
  • Working Schedule: Monday to Friday schedule + Saturdays on a fair rotating rota

Core Responsibilities

  • Carry out complex mechanical teardowns and rebuilds, including timing belts/chains, gearboxes, clutch assemblies, and engine repairs
  • Harness brand-specific diagnostic platforms to systematically trace and resolve mechanical, electronic, and software faults
  • Conduct routine servicing, safety evaluations, and thorough vehicle health checks (VHC) to strict manufacturer standards
  • Document accurate technical findings on digital job cards and update service advisors on job timelines
  • Maintain strict workshop health and safety standards, tool care, and bay cleanliness

Candidate Profile

  • Technical Ability: Proven background in heavy mechanical repairs alongside systematic fault-finding processes
  • Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served credential)
  • MOT Status: Active MOT Tester accreditation is desirable for enhanced starting pay, but is not essential to apply
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
