Key Responsibilities
- Perform strict, objective MOT inspections in full compliance with current DVSA safety and emissions standards.
- Carry out light mechanical servicing, fast-fit repairs (brakes, suspension, lighting, exhausts), and pre-MOT rectifications.
- Log accurate digital test results on the DVSA system and clearly document advisories or failures for service advisors.
- Ensure MOT testing equipment, lift bays, and calibration tools remain clean, safe, and fully operational.
- Maintain strict workshop health, safety, and operational standards at all times.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Mandatory Licence: Active DVSA Smart Card / Valid MOT Tester Licence (Required).
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent).
- Technical Mindset: Methodical inspector committed to accurate safety checks and honest trade practices.
- Practical Ability: Confident carrying out light mechanical repair work efficiently.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Required).
