Core Duties
- Carry out heavy mechanical repairs, including engine overhauls, gearbox replacements, timing chains, and clutch rebuilds
- Troubleshoot intricate mechanical, electronic, and software faults using official dealer diagnostic technology
- Perform manufacturer-scheduled maintenance, core servicing, and multi-point vehicle health checks (VHC)
- Complete clear electronic job cards and coordinate effectively with the service desk and parts counter
- Collaborate with a high-performing workshop crew to ensure right-first-time quality control
Candidate Profile
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served experience)
- Technical Mastery: Demonstrated confidence performing engine work, gearbox repairs, and in-depth mechanical fault isolation
- Experience: Proven background in main-dealer or busy independent workshop environments
- Attributes: Dedicated, detail-oriented technician focused on high safety standards and clean workmanship
- Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
