Your Role
As a key member of our Newport technical team, you will:
- Handle mechanical repairs, engine work, routine servicing, and general preventative maintenance.
- Lead on diagnostics, tuning, and remapping using specialist on-site tools and software.
- Manage MOT failure diagnosis and rectifications to get vehicles back on the road safely.
- Use tablet-based systems to manage digital job cards, update work logs, and upload photos.
- Maintain our high trust rating by clearly explaining technical issues when required.
What You Need
Qualifications & Experience: Level 2 Motor Vehicle qualification required (Level 3 preferred). Time-served technical experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic is highly considered. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is strongly preferred but not required.
Tech Savvy & Tools: Confident using diagnostic software and digital systems; must possess your own hand tools.
Key Strengths: Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or as part of a close-knit team.
