  • Salary & Earnings: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per year (Dependent on experience) + uncapped monthly bonuses (£52,000 OTE).
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30—enjoy complete weekend freedom with strictly no weekend shifts.

Your Role: As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Newbury workshop, you will:

  • Execute expert maintenance and repairs across the VAG (Volkswagen Group) vehicle range to strict manufacturer standards.
  • Utilize dealer-level diagnostic equipment to systematically locate, investigate, and repair complex electronic and mechanical faults.
  • Work directly with modern EV and Hybrid technology, including the latest high-voltage systems and electric drivetrains.
  • Deliver first-time fixes while maintaining clean digital job records and collaborating with a supportive technical team.

What You Need:

  • Qualifications & Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Junior Technician. NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) is required. F-Gas certification is preferred.
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
  • Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop duties.
  • Key Strengths: Passion for VAG marques, strong diagnostic mindset, pride in clean workmanship, and a desire for long-term career growth.
