Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Newbury workshop, you will:
- Execute expert maintenance & repairs across the VAG (Volkswagen Group) vehicle range to strict manufacturer standards.
- Utilize dealer-level diagnostic equipment to systematically locate, investigate, and repair complex electronic and mechanical faults.
- Work directly with modern EV & Hybrid technology, including the latest high-voltage systems and electric drivetrains.
- Deliver first-time fixes while maintaining clean digital job records and collaborating with a supportive technical team.
What You Need
Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) with 1+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Junior Technician. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop duties. Passion for VAG marques, strong diagnostic mindset, pride in clean workmanship, and a desire for long-term career growth.
