The Role – Vehicle Technician (4x4 Specialist):
We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic to join our specialist workshop team. You will be working on a variety of 4x4 and SUV vehicles, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys technical problem-solving, working on specialist vehicles, and developing advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Work on engines, suspension, braking systems, and drivetrain components
- Perform advanced diagnostics and fault finding
- Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Use specialist tools and workshop systems to complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and documentation
- Collaborate with the workshop team to deliver high-quality results
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer and industry standards
About You:
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working with 4x4, SUV, or specialist vehicles (advantageous, not essential)
- Knowledge of modern vehicle systems, electronics, and diagnostics
- Fabrication or welding skills beneficial but not required
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality workmanship
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
