The Role – Vehicle Technician (4x4 Specialist):

We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic to join our specialist workshop team. You will be working on a variety of 4x4 and SUV vehicles, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys technical problem-solving, working on specialist vehicles, and developing advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Work on engines, suspension, braking systems, and drivetrain components
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and fault finding
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards

About You:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working with 4x4, SUV, or specialist vehicles (advantageous, not essential)
  • Knowledge of modern vehicle systems, electronics, and diagnostics
  • Fabrication or welding skills beneficial but not required
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality workmanship
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
