What's Included in the Package?

  • Salary Range: £32,000 – £45,000 per annum basic (DOE)
  • Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (Saturdays 07:30 – 13:00 on a team rota basis)
  • Overtime: Optional Saturday shifts available to boost your earnings

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform major engine and mechanical overhauls, including cambelts, timing chains, clutches, brakes, and core engine work
  • Execute complex mechanical and electrical fault-finding using modern diagnostic tools
  • Complete routine servicing, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance across fleet inventory and retail vehicles
  • Carry out inspections and repairs to ensure full MOT and manufacturer compliance
  • Maintain precise electronic job logs and support apprentice mechanics within the workshop

Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served experience)
  • Technical Expertise: Proven confidence with engine overhauls, timing chains, clutches, cambelts, and diagnostic fault isolation
  • MOT License: MOT tester status (Classes 1, 2, 4, 5, or 7) is an advantage, but full MOT training will be provided for the right technician!
  • Communication & Mindset: Self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable working within allocated repair timelines
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence (Class C / C+E is a plus)
