We are looking for a Vehicle Technician / Junior Mechanic with 1–2 years' workshop experience to join our long-established, independent garage in Kent. This is a rare opportunity to earn strong money, receive ongoing training, and enjoy an excellent work–life balance with no weekend work.

We are a family-run independent garage with nearly 100 years of heritage, known locally for quality workmanship and outstanding customer care. Rated 5 stars on Auto Trader and multiple award winners for customer service, we operate a busy workshop alongside a used car sales operation, servicing and preparing over 40 hand-picked, low-mileage vehicles.

Our services include vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs, offering technicians varied, steady work in a supportive environment — without main dealer pressure.

What's on Offer

  • Basic salary up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
  • Monthly bonus £200–£400
  • OTE up to £39,000
  • Monday–Wednesday: 8:00am–5:30pm
  • Thursday & Friday: 8:00am–5:00pm (early finish)
  • No weekends
  • 23 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

Your Role

As a Junior Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you will:

  • Carry out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
  • Assist with mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Perform MOT preparation, inspections, and safety checks
  • Diagnose faults using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Road-test vehicles after repairs
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Work closely with the service advisor and workshop team
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician, Junior Mechanic, or Service Technician
  • Good understanding of vehicle servicing and basic diagnostics
