Key Responsibilities
- Carry out manufacturer-level vehicle servicing, preventative maintenance, and detailed Vehicle Health Checks (VHC) across Volkswagen Group vehicles.
- Perform complex mechanical repairs, including timing belts/chains, clutch replacements, gearbox overhauls, suspension work, and engine builds.
- Utilize ODIS diagnostic software and advanced electrical troubleshooting suites to pin-point complex faults quickly and accurately.
- Complete pre-MOT inspections and vehicle safety prep to high specialist standards.
- Maintain clean electronic job records and uphold a "right-first-time" quality control standard.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or proven time-served equivalent).
- Experience: Proven track record as a Vehicle Technician, Auto Technician, Motor Mechanic, or VAG Specialist within a main dealership or quality independent garage.
- Technical Skills: Confident in mechanical repair, advanced electrical diagnosis, and using modern workshop diagnostic tools.
- Work Ethic: A quality-driven professional who takes pride in neat, precise craftsmanship.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Required).
