Core Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled manufacturer-level servicing, preventative care, and vehicle health checks (VHC) across VAG models
  • Execute complex mechanical repairs, including timing belt/chain overhauls, clutch replacements, engine repairs, and suspension work
  • Conduct advanced diagnostic fault-finding and electrical troubleshooting using modern diagnostic suites
  • Carry out pre-MOT safety checks and pre-delivery preparation to specialist standards
  • Maintain clear electronic job records and uphold right-first-time quality control

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Proven hands-on workshop experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or VAG Specialist
  • Qualifications: NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served experience)
  • Technical Ability: Strong diagnostic fault-finding confidence, tool confidence, and high attention to detail
  • Mindset: Quality-focused technician who takes genuine pride in clean, accurate work
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
