Core Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled manufacturer-level servicing, preventative care, and vehicle health checks (VHC) across VAG models
- Execute complex mechanical repairs, including timing belt/chain overhauls, clutch replacements, engine repairs, and suspension work
- Conduct advanced diagnostic fault-finding and electrical troubleshooting using modern diagnostic suites
- Carry out pre-MOT safety checks and pre-delivery preparation to specialist standards
- Maintain clear electronic job records and uphold right-first-time quality control
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Proven hands-on workshop experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or VAG Specialist
- Qualifications: NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served experience)
- Technical Ability: Strong diagnostic fault-finding confidence, tool confidence, and high attention to detail
- Mindset: Quality-focused technician who takes genuine pride in clean, accurate work
