Core Responsibilities
- Execute heavy mechanical procedures, including timing chains/belts, clutch kits, engine overhauls, and gearbox replacements
- Utilize advanced multi-brand diagnostic platforms to trace, evaluate, and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults
- Complete scheduled servicing, multi-point health checks, and general maintenance to high specialist standards
- Record clear technical notes on digital job cards and communicate repair progress with front-of-house staff
- Maintain pristine bay cleanliness, tool care, and standard workshop health and safety protocols
Candidate Profile
- Technical Experience: Time-served mechanic with solid confidence in heavy mechanical repairs and diagnostic fault isolation
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served background)
- MOT Status: Holding a valid MOT Tester licence is advantageous for starting pay, but is not essential to apply
- Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
