Start your career. Build your skills. Become a great technician.

Are you a Junior Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Trainee Technician looking for somewhere you can learn, develop and build a proper career?

We’re looking for a Junior Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop.

You don't need to be the finished article. What matters to us is that you're keen to learn, take pride in your work and genuinely enjoy working with cars.

You'll work alongside experienced technicians who can help you develop your mechanical skills, learn more about diagnostics and gain hands-on experience working on a variety of vehicles.

What you'll get

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Learn from experienced technicians
  • Develop your mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Hands-on experience across a wide range of vehicles
  • Opportunity to progress your career
  • Supportive, friendly workshop environment
  • Varied work – no two days are the same
  • Opportunity to become a highly skilled technician
  • Be part of a successful and growing automotive business
  • A team that values good workmanship, reliability and the right attitude

What you'll be doing

You'll be getting hands-on with a wide range of jobs, including:

  • Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
  • Mechanical repairs
  • Replacing components and parts
  • Vehicle inspections and checks
  • Basic fault finding and diagnostics
  • Assisting experienced technicians with more complex work
  • Preparing vehicles for sale
  • Using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Road testing vehicles when required
  • Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised

As you develop, you'll be given the opportunity to take on more responsibility and build your technical knowledge and confidence.

What we're looking for

You could be right for us if you:

  • Have some previous experience in a garage, workshop or automotive environment
  • Have an automotive qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent – desirable

  • Have a full UK driving licence – desirable

Experience isn't everything

If you're early in your career and want to become a better technician, we'd like to hear from you.

We're looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn, not someone who already knows everything.

If you're serious about building a career in the automotive industry, this is an opportunity to learn from experienced people, gain valuable hands-on experience and develop into a skilled Vehicle Technician.

£27,000 – £32,000 depending on experience.
