The Role
As an MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
- Completing MOT documentation accurately
- Identifying vehicle faults and safety defects
- Advising on MOT failures and required repairs
- Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Supporting general workshop repairs when required
- Maintaining high workshop, quality and safety standards
- Delivering excellent customer service
What We're Looking For
We would like to hear from:
- Qualified MOT Testers with a valid Class 4 MOT Licence
- Experienced Vehicle Technicians looking to become an MOT Tester
- Automotive Technicians, Diagnostic Technicians and Mechanics seeking career progression
You should have:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent preferred)
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Mechanic or MOT Tester
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Professional, reliable and team-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
