We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a well-established, independent garage with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and honest service. The Role
This is a hands-on position covering the full scope of workshop duties. You will be involved in MOT testing, servicing, and general mechanical repairs, as well as more in-depth diagnostic and fault-finding work. Day to day, you'll be working on everything from routine maintenance through to brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts and chains, exhausts, tyres, wheel alignment, air conditioning, and general mechanical repairs.
The workshop is well equipped with modern diagnostic tools and places real emphasis on accurate diagnosis, quality repairs, and keeping customers informed in a clear, professional manner. There is a strong focus on vehicle safety and working to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out MOT testing (where qualified)
- Servicing and maintenance across a wide range of vehicles
- General mechanical repairs including:
- Brakes and suspension
- Clutches
- Exhaust systems
- Timing belts and chains
- Engine repairs
