Your Role

As a core member of our Guildford team, you will handle a true variety of technical work:

  • Diagnostics & Rectification: Use modern specialized diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex vehicle faults accurately.
  • Specialist Repairs: Carry out routine servicing, complex mechanical maintenance, suspension work, and safety-critical repairs to strict trade standards.
  • VAG Systems: Stay updated with the latest manufacturer drivetrain, engine management, and electrical technology introduced across the VAG vehicle range.
  • Quality Assurance: Road-test vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools after work is completed to guarantee "right first time" safety and quality.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete digital job cards and technical descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.

What You Need

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent City & Guilds / time-served experience).
  • Experience: Proven track record as a confident Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a professional workshop setting, with a background or strong interest in German brands being highly beneficial.
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Traits: Excellent attention to detail, a professional approach to workshop safety, and strong problem-solving abilities.
