We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / VAG Specialist to join our established independent garage and service centre. Specializing in German engineering across Volkswagen Group brands alongside general aftersales servicing, we provide a clean, modern workshop environment equipped with official ODIS dealer diagnostics where your skills are genuinely valued and your weekends are strictly your own.

About Us

We are a premier independent VAG specialist and service centre with over 20 years of trusted industry experience. We handle everything from routine manufacturer-compliant servicing and MOT testing to complex electrical fault-finding and advanced mechanical repairs across Audi, VW, SEAT, Škoda, and other major vehicle makes. Our workshop is equipped with official dealer-level diagnostic systems, allowing our technicians to perform high-grade technical work efficiently.

Your Role

As a vital member of our technical team, you will:

  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing, brake overhauls, clutch replacements, timing belts/chains, and general mechanical maintenance.
  • Utilize official ODIS and modern diagnostic tools to systematically troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and engine management faults.
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards to deliver clean "first-time fix" results and maintain workshop efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with workshop colleagues to ensure smooth job flow and uphold our long-standing reputation for customer trust.

What You Need

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Proven experience working in a professional workshop setting with strong knowledge of VAG platforms (Audi, VW, SEAT, Škoda).
  • F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).

Licensing:

  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.

Equipment & Mindset:

  • Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
  • Strong diagnostic mindset, keen eye for detail, and a reliable work ethic.
